Apprenticeships

Got it made with a trade

You've seen the recruitment ads. There’s no doubt that becoming a tradie is certainly a viable alternative to running up a student debt these days. Nothing ever came without some hard work, but we’ve got your back. There are no glass ceilings here.

See your apprenticeship through and there is room to grow. We are committed to the electrical industry and part of that is helping youth successfully complete apprenticeships to help secure our future workforce. So do you think you have what it takes?

The Master Electricians Apprentice Challenge

Every year, Master Electricians New Zealand hold a Master Electricians Apprentice Challenge for all apprentices in the New Zealand electrical industry with less than 45months on-job training.

Aotea apprentices from around New Zealand are encouraged to take part each year to up-skill, potentially win prize money or even represent New Zealand at the WorldSkills International Competition, like this years Aotea Electric Southern Etco winner, Zac Fitzgerald-Geddes.
