Exciting Times Ahead For Aotea Group As We Welcome Our New CEO, James Ewart.

Paul Parsons is thrilled to pass over the torch to James Ewart as he takes over the role of CEO of AGHL Limited.

As Aotea Group continues to grow, expand, diversify and move forward, we are delighted to announce the appointment of James Ewart as Paul Parsons's successor as CEO of AGHL Limited.

James has spent his entire career in the trade-based sector, with a significant period spent with James Hardie, followed by roles with Fletcher Building, Caroma Industries and Gerard Lighting. Over this time, he has developed his skills in managing complex businesses to bring diverse teams together and unify them under a single cause. James started with us in late April with an official handover of the role at AGHL's AGM on 20 May 2023. He greatly looks forward to what is to come in his new role.

"I’m extremely excited to be a part of the incredible team at Aotea Group. Personally, having a career that has been focussed on the broader construction segment, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join such an iconic Kiwi business. With unrivalled reach, scale and expertise across the country, this business is one that stands out in every way."

James Ewart

After 37 years and counting with Aotea, 6 of them spent as CEO, Paul has chosen to scale down and hand over the reins. Although Paul has decided to scale back, we are not saying goodbye just yet. Paul will continue to be involved with Aotea, allowing for a seamless transition and continued access to his wealth of enthusiasm, energy and drive.

"I am personally thrilled to pass over the torch as CEO of AGHL to James Ewart. James will bring some new skills and renewed enthusiasm to this role and no doubt continue with the momentum that we, as a group, have achieved to date."

Paul Parsons

From all of Aotea, we thank you, Paul, for all the work you have done and will continue to do for Aotea Group and to James, a warm welcome; we look forward to the exciting times ahead.
